The building of former horse railway station |
  The most famous Austro-Hungarian Queen was Maria Theresia (1740-1780). During her reign, Bratislava reached its glory. The 19th century represented a time of economic development when significant factories and large enterprises were built. Modern industry came. Steamboats on the Danube came in 1818. In 1830 the first steamboating company began. In 1840, a horse railway between Bratislava and Trnava was built. |
